And he commanded them that there should be no contention one with another, but that they should look forward with one eye, having one faith and one baptism, having their hearts knit together in unity and in love one towards another.

Cub Scout Den meeting

Here I am with my boys. We have a good group of boys, six showed up yesterday for our den meeting. Dad and I have been doing Cubs for a while. We were learning about the ocean and sea animals. The boys had to drink their soda ( several couldn't drink it all- thus the dumping pitcher on the table), then fill it 2/3 full of water. Devin is filling his at the buckets in the back ground. Add blue food coloring; sea animals and fill it to the top with mineral oil. I am liking scouts better the longer I am in it. Cub Scouts is coming out with a brand new program, starting in September. It's on line if your interested. I went to the 'Rancho Army Surplus' yesterday and picked up the new program book. Dad and I will have to split in the middle of the den meetings (Den meetings will only be twice a month now!! Wahoo!!) and I will work with the Wolves (seven year olds) as Dad works with the Bears( eight year olds) . The program for the two groups is very separate now, but we need all the boys for the games and the flag ceremony, crafts etc.
I of course did not take this picture, but I am charging my camera batteries and will be taking my happy pictures each day myself. I love this idea Tiff, this will be fun and challenging. I love you girls and am excited to see what makes you happy through the pictures you will take. I hope this works and I don't end up having to retype everything......Here it goes....
