And he commanded them that there should be no contention one with another, but that they should look forward with one eye, having one faith and one baptism, having their hearts knit together in unity and in love one towards another.

OxyClean--This is just too expensive to buy, and when you realize it is so easy to make you don't want to buy it anyways.

1.  DIY OxyClean

1 cup water
1/2 cup hydrogen peroxide
1/2 cup baking soda

Mix together and soak laundry in it for 20 minutes to overnight and then wash as usual. Or you can just skip the water and pour the peroxide and baking soda directly into the wash with your laundry soap and wash as usual.

I am always looking for ways to clean my jewelry/rings. I found this and am going to try it.

2.  DIY Ring Cleaner

Baking Soda
Warm water

In a small bowl create a paste. Rub paste all over your stone(s) and setting(with fingers).  wash off with water.  If your ring is really dirty repeat, if not, dry with a lent free cloth.(if using a tooth brush to apply paste be sure to it has soft bristles)

This is for the white buildup on your headlights. I still need to try this as well, but everyone loves toothpaste!!

3.  DIY headlight cleaner

    • 1
The first step is to apply some toothpaste on a dry cloth.
    • 2
Once the toothpaste is on the cloth, begin to rub the headlight cover with it until the grime comes off.
    • 3
Keep rubbing the toothpaste in circular motions until the grime breaks down all the way. After that proceed to rinse with water and wipe down with a wet cloth.

Green Cleaning

Ok, so we were told to blog our recipes.

This is what I got:
Dish Detergent
1 c. washing soda
1c. borax
1/4 c. kosher salt
1/4 c. citric acid, fruit fresh, or 2 pkt. lemonade flavored kool-aide
3 drops liquid dish soap (I used more)
1/2-1 c. vinegar splashed into bottom of dishwasher (I used 1 cup)
Then start!

I used this when I ran out of dish washing detergent and wasn't able to go to the store.  I believe Mom was here at the time?  :)

Next is all-purpose onguard spray
2 Tbsp onguard all purpose cleaner
Spray bottle full of water

I feel very safe of germs using this spray for everything (my main table, poop clean up, floor spills, etc).  On guard oil kills all the bad (but not the good) stuff- even MRSA (also known as staph infection).  And I know I can spray it "accidentally" on my little boy and he'll totally be fine!

And 3rd, Alternative All-purpose Spray
1/4 c. white vinegar
2 c. water
30 drops essential oil (I used 10 d. eucalyptus, 10 d. peppermint, 10 d. wild orange)
1 tsp borax

This is (I have to be honest) one I just put together today.  But really excited to use it because of the oil smells in it!   Smells divine!  Love w. orange and peppermint together!

I have a lot of other recipes for "green" cleaning with essential oils if you're interested.  There's a toilet bowl cleaner, floor cleaner, window cleaner, soft scrub (for bath, tile, and toilet), and a wood floor polish.
I'm sure you've also already checked out the MANY recipes and ideas on pinterest for "green cleaning".
Can't wait to hear from all of you today!!
